Privacy Policy

Effective July 16, 2026

At Dopppel, we collect and use Personal Data to provide and improve our AI services. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Dopppel is operated by Dopppel AI, LLC ("Dopppel," "we," "our," or "us").

1. Personal Data We Collect

We collect various types of Personal Data to provide and improve our AI services, including:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email, username, password, and settings.
  • User Content: We collect the inputs you provide to Dopppel, including prompts, uploaded files, images, audio, video, and any interactions you have within the service.
  • Communication Data: If you contact us via email or social media, we collect the content of your messages and your contact details.
  • Phone Number and SMS Consent: If you give us your phone number and agree to receive text messages from us, we collect your number and a record of your consent (including when and how you gave it).
  • Accident Help Requests: If you choose to fill in the accident help form, we collect what you tell us about the accident — the state and date, whether you got medical treatment, whether police were called, your description of what happened, and a phone number for follow-up. Some of this describes your health.
  • Health Help Requests: If you choose to fill in the health help form, we collect what you tell us — what is going on, who it is for, your state, what is bothering you the most, how long it has been going on, whether you have seen a doctor, your description of what happened, and a phone number for follow-up. Depending on your answers, we may also collect a few more details about a crash or a workplace injury. This describes your health.
  • Help Requests: If you choose to fill in the help request form, we collect what kind of help you need, where you are, roughly when it happened, sometimes one more detail about that kind of problem, your description of what is going on, and your name, email, and phone number. Depending on what you pick, some of this may describe your health, your finances, your family, or a legal matter. If your chat already described the problem, Dopppel may write a first draft of that description for you; it is shown to you before you send it, and you can edit it or clear it.
  • Device and Usage Data: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device information, log data, location based on IP, and usage patterns during your interaction with Dopppel.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies to manage sessions, enhance your experience, analyze usage, and provide personalized content. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
  • Third-Party and Public Data: We may also receive information from trusted partners and publicly available sources for security and service-enhancement purposes.

2. How We Process Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Dopppel's services;
  • Personalize and enhance your user experience;
  • Communicate important updates and offers;
  • Deliver text messages you have agreed to receive;
  • Prevent fraud and ensure the security and integrity of our platform;
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect user safety.

We may also anonymize or aggregate data to analyze usage trends and improve our services without identifying you personally.

We do not use your content to create, train, or improve AI or machine-learning models — ours or anyone else's.

How we store it. Your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting and infrastructure providers in the United States. We protect it with encryption in transit and at rest, and we limit access to the people and systems that need it to run the Service. We keep it for the periods described in Section 5.

3. When and With Whom We Share Your Personal Information

Your data may be shared with:

  • Service providers and vendors who support our operations (e.g., hosting providers, payment processors);
  • Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect rights and safety;
  • Affiliates within the Dopppel corporate structure;
  • Third parties you interact with on our platform or through integrated services.

We do not sell your Personal Data.

Text messages (SMS)

We do not share SMS opt-in consent or phone numbers collected for SMS purposes with any third parties or affiliate companies for marketing purposes. This information stays with us and the messaging vendor that delivers texts on our behalf, and that vendor may not use it for its own marketing.

You can stop text messages sent through Dopppel at any time by replying STOP. Reply START to begin receiving them again, and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Our full SMS terms are in Section 12 of our Terms of Service.

Accident help requests

If you ask Dopppel for help after an accident, we may offer you a short form. The form is optional — you can decline it, and Dopppel will still answer your question normally.

Where the form goes. When you send the form, your answers and the phone number you give us go to AccidentsGPT, an affiliate of Dopppel AI, LLC that handles accident intake. AccidentsGPT may share them with attorneys, medical providers, and crash report services who can help with your claim. Those attorneys and providers are independent third parties, not Dopppel.

This is separate from the SMS commitment above. A phone number you enter on the accident help form is not collected for Dopppel SMS, and giving it to us does not enrol you in text messages from Dopppel — that still happens only in the way Section 12 of our Terms of Service describes. Our promise not to share numbers collected for Dopppel SMS is unchanged.

Consent to be contacted. The form includes a separate, optional checkbox asking whether AccidentsGPT and the attorneys or providers it connects you with may call or text you, including by automated or prerecorded means. It is unchecked unless you check it, message and data rates may apply, and you do not have to check it to send the form or to use Dopppel. We keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to and when you agreed to it. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing help@dopppelganger.com or by replying STOP to a text.

Dopppel is not a law firm. Sending the form does not create an attorney–client relationship with Dopppel or with anyone else, and nothing Dopppel tells you is legal advice.

Health help requests

If you ask Dopppel for help because you are hurt or something is wrong with your health, we may offer you a short form. The form is optional — you can decline it, and Dopppel will still answer your question normally.

Where the form goes. When you send the form, your answers and the phone number you give us go to the care partner named on the form. That may be an outside care partner we work with, or, if none is configured, our own care team. That care partner may share your answers and your number with doctors, clinics, or lawyers who can help you.

This is separate from the SMS commitment above. A phone number you enter on the health help form is not collected for Dopppel SMS, and giving it to us does not enrol you in text messages from Dopppel — that still happens only in the way Section 12 of our Terms of Service describes. Our promise not to share numbers collected for Dopppel SMS is unchanged.

Consent to be contacted. The form includes a separate, optional checkbox asking whether the care partner and the doctors, clinics, or lawyers it connects you with may call or text you, including by automated or prerecorded means.

Dopppel is not a doctor. Dopppel is not a doctor and is not a medical practice. Sending the form does not start care and does not make anyone your doctor, and nothing Dopppel tells you is medical advice. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.

Help requests

If you tell Dopppel about a problem it may be able to help with, we may offer you a short form. It covers a range of situations — being hurt or sick, trouble with the law, and problems with a home or land. The form is optional. You can decline it, and Dopppel will still answer your question normally. You can also open it yourself from the chat menu.

What the form asks. What kind of help you need, where you are, roughly when it happened, sometimes one more question about that kind of problem, a box to describe what is going on in your own words, and your name, email, and phone number.

Dopppel may write the description for you. If your chat already described the problem, Dopppel may fill that box in with a first draft based on what you said in the conversation. The form tells you when it has done this. You can change it, or clear it and write your own, before you send anything. If you send it, that text goes with the rest of the form.

Where the form goes. When you send the form, your answers and the phone number you give us go to our own customer service team, who review it and pass it to the people who can help — which may include lawyers, doctors, clinics, or other professionals. Those professionals are independent third parties, not Dopppel. If the form names a care partner, that partner receives it instead of, or in addition to, our team. We may also send it to service providers we use to process requests.

This is separate from the SMS commitment above. A phone number you enter on the help request form is not collected for Dopppel SMS, and giving it to us does not enrol you in text messages from Dopppel — that still happens only in the way Section 12 of our Terms of Service describes. Our promise not to share numbers collected for Dopppel SMS is unchanged.

Consent to be contacted. The form includes a separate, optional checkbox asking whether our team and the professionals they connect you with may call or text you, including by automated or prerecorded means. It is unchecked unless you check it, message frequency may vary, message and data rates may apply, and you do not have to check it to send the form or to use Dopppel. We keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to and when you agreed to it. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing help@dopppelganger.com, by replying STOP to a text, or by telling whoever calls you.

Dopppel is not a lawyer, a doctor, or any other licensed professional. Sending the form does not hire anyone, does not start care, and does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Someone becomes your lawyer, doctor, agent, or other representative only when you and they agree to it. Nothing Dopppel tells you is legal, medical, or financial advice. If you are having an emergency, call 911.

4. Google User Data

Some Dopppel features can connect to your Google account. They work only if you choose to connect them, and you can disconnect them at any time in Settings.

  • Google Calendar (calendar.events): lets Dopppel read your calendar events and add the events and reminders you ask for.
  • Google Contacts (contacts.readonly): read-only; used to help you find friends who already use Dopppel. Your contacts are never sent to any AI provider.

How we handle Google user data:

  • We use it only to run the features above. We never sell it, never use it for ads, and never use it to create, train, or improve AI or machine-learning models.
  • When you ask Dopppel a question about your calendar, the events needed to answer are processed by our AI provider, OpenAI, through its API to write your answer. Under OpenAI's API terms, OpenAI does not use data sent to its API to train its models.
  • We do not transfer Google user data — raw, aggregated, anonymized, or derived — to any service that would use it to train AI or machine-learning models.
  • Google access tokens are stored encrypted (AES-256). Disconnecting a feature in Settings removes our access.

Dopppel's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Retention

We retain your Personal Data only as long as necessary to provide services, comply with laws, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can delete your account or data at any time through your settings. Certain data may be retained longer for legal or security reasons.

We keep records of consent you give us — for example SMS consent, or consent to be contacted about an accident, a health help request, or any other help request — for as long as we may need them to show that consent was given. That may be longer than we keep the request itself.

6. Your Data Controls and Choices

You can:

  • Manage cookie preferences;
  • Connect or disconnect Google features at any time in Settings;
  • Export and delete your data and account;
  • Control communication preferences.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable US laws, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your Personal Data, and to object to certain processing activities. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at help@dopppelganger.com.

8. Children's Privacy

Dopppel is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us data without parental consent, please contact us immediately.

9. Security

We implement robust technical and organizational security measures to protect your data. However, the security of online transmission cannot be guaranteed, so please protect your account credentials.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
