Can Dopppel show me a map?
Ask where a place is and a map shows up right in the chat. Ask how to get there and it draws the route instead.

What it is
Words are a poor way to say where something is. So when a place comes up, Dopppel puts a map in the chat under its answer. You do not have to ask for one.
There are two kinds. A place map drops a pin on one spot — a hotel, a restaurant, an address. A route map draws the way between two spots and tells you how long it takes. Ask how far apart two places are and you get the answer in words AND the route to look at.
It also pins a place it just recommended. If Dopppel names a restaurant for you, the map comes with it, so you can see whether it is near you before you decide. Tap the map to open the same spot in Google Maps and get moving.
How to use it
- 1Ask where something is — "where is the Ferry Building?"
- 2Ask for directions to get a route — "how do I get from the airport to downtown?"
- 3Ask how far apart two places are. You get the distance in words and the route on the map.
- 4Tap the map to open it in Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions.
Questions
Do I have to ask for a map?
No. When your question is about a real place, Dopppel shows the map on its own.
Can it give me directions?
Yes. Ask how to get from one place to another and it draws the route between them and says how long it takes.
Can it tell me how far away something is?
Yes. It says the distance in the answer and shows you the route, so you can see it as well as read it.
There are two towns with the same name. Which one does it pick?
Say the city or the state with it. "Springfield" alone is not enough for anyone, Dopppel included.
Can I open it in the real Maps app?
Yes. Tap the map and the same place or route opens in Google Maps.
Does it work when I am talking out loud?
Yes. Ask out loud and the map lands in the chat, so it is waiting for you when you look.
