Can Dopppel find videos and pictures?
Ask about something you want to see and Dopppel finds videos and pictures for you. Videos play right there in the chat.
What it is
Some answers are better looked at than read. How to tie a knot. What a bird sounds like. What a place looks like before you go.
So when your question is a visual one, Dopppel goes and finds the pictures without being asked. They come back as a row of pictures above its answer that you can swipe through. Tap one and it fills the screen. Swipe for the next one, pinch to zoom, and tap the site name at the top to open the page it came from. Want to know more about one? Type a question in "Ask about this picture" at the bottom and send it. The picture goes into the chat with your question, and Dopppel answers about it.
Videos work the same way, and they play in the chat — no new tab, no leaving the conversation. Dopppel says a line about each one, so you know which is worth your time before you press play. Say "play" and the name of a song or a clip and it goes and finds it.
How to use it
- 1Ask about something you want to see, the way you normally would.
- 2Look at the pictures above the answer. Tap one to open it big.
- 3Press play on a video to watch it without leaving the chat.
- 4Say "play" and a name to go straight to one thing — "play the trailer for Dune".
Questions
Do I have to ask for pictures?
No. When the topic is a visual one, Dopppel fetches them on its own. You can ignore them if you do not want them.
Do videos play in the chat?
Yes. They play right where they are. You do not get sent to another tab.
Can I see a picture bigger?
Yes. Tap a picture and it fills the screen. Swipe to see the next one, pinch or tap twice to zoom, and tap the download button to save it.
Can I ask it to play a song?
Yes. Say "play" and the name and it finds the video for you.
Can I ask a question about a picture Dopppel found?
Yes. Tap the picture, type your question in "Ask about this picture" at the bottom, and send. The picture goes into the chat with your question. In a Gäng it goes to @Dopppel as your message.
Can it look at a picture I send it?
Yes, but that is a different thing. Sending Dopppel a file to read about is on the Files page.
