What do the buttons under an answer do?
Under each answer from Dopppel there is a small row of round buttons. They let you copy it, hear it, rate it, get a new one, or fix what you asked.
What it is
Every answer has "Copy", which copies the words, and "Read aloud", which reads the answer out loud. Tap "Stop reading" to stop it. Signed in, in your own chats, there are a few more. The thumbs up and thumbs down tell the Dopppel team if an answer was good or bad. Tap the same thumb again to take it back.
The round arrow, "Try again", sits under Dopppel's last answer. Tap it and Dopppel writes a new answer in place of the old one. The pencil, "Edit", sits under your own last message. Tap it, change the words, and tap "Send". Your new words and a new answer take the place of the old ones. A reminder or memory the old answer made goes away too. Only your last message can be changed.
Under the newest answer you may also see two small buttons with ideas for what to ask next, like "Make it shorter". Tap one and it is sent for you. If an answer could not be finished, a gray line says "I couldn't finish that one." Tap "Try again" under it to ask once more.
How to use it
- 1Look under an answer from Dopppel for the row of round buttons.
- 2Tap "Copy" to copy the answer, or "Read aloud" to hear it.
- 3Tap the thumbs up or thumbs down to say how the answer did.
- 4Not quite right? Tap the round arrow for a new answer, or the pencil under your message to change what you asked.
- 5Tap an idea button under the newest answer to send it as your next message.
Questions
What does the thumbs down do?
It tells the Dopppel team that answer was not good, so they can see what to fix. It does not change the answer. Tap it again to take it back.
How do I get a different answer?
Tap the round arrow under Dopppel's last answer. It writes a new one in the same spot. You need to be signed in.
Can I change a message I already sent?
Yes, your last one. Tap the pencil under it, change the words, and tap "Send". Dopppel answers the new words. Tap "Cancel" to leave it as it was.
What are the small idea buttons?
Ideas for what to ask next. They show under the newest answer in a typed chat, not in a voice call. Tap one and it is sent as your message.
Do these buttons work in a Gäng?
Copy, Read aloud and the idea buttons do. In a Gäng, anyone can tap an idea, and it goes to Dopppel as their message. There are no thumbs, Try again or Edit there, since an answer belongs to everyone. Leave an emoji on it instead.
