What it is
A Gäng is you, your friends, and Dopppel in one thread. You talk to each other the way you would anywhere else. When you want Dopppel, you type @Dopppel and it answers everybody.
What it makes there belongs to the whole Gäng. A packing list, a chart of who owes what, a table of who is bringing what — everyone sees it, everyone can change it, everyone can save it. Send a file in and anyone can ask @Dopppel about what is inside.
A Gäng is a shared room, so Dopppel is a guest in it. In a Gäng it cannot see your memories, your reminders or your calendar. That private half stays in your own chats, and that is what Memory is. What you ask for in the room is for the room: ask it to remind everyone about something and that reminder is for the whole Gäng too. A Gäng needs an account, so sign in first.
How to use it
- 1Start a Gäng with a friend, or tap "Add a friend" under an answer in your own chat.
- 2Talk. Type @Dopppel when you want it to answer, or tag a friend with @ and their name.
- 3Ask it for the thing the group needs — a list, a chart, a table, a plan.
- 4Tap the sparkle at the top to catch up on what you missed. Only you see that.
Questions
What is a Gäng?
A group chat with your friends and Dopppel in it. A Gäng with one friend is just your thread with that person, so it shows their name at the top — unless you made it by adding them to a chat, and then it keeps that chat's name.
How do I bring Dopppel into the chat?
Type @Dopppel and ask. Out loud, tap the mic and put the name at the start or the end, like "Dopppel, what time works?"
Does Dopppel know private things about me in a Gäng?
No. In a Gäng it cannot see your memories, your reminders or your calendar. Those stay in your own chats. You can still ask it to remind everyone about something, but that reminder is for the whole Gäng — a card shows up in the chat so each person can say they are in, or no thanks. Do I need an account for a Gäng?
Yes. A Gäng is a room with your friends in it, so you sign in first. Then you can start one or join one.
Can everyone see the documents?
Yes. Documents, charts and tables made in a Gäng are for the whole Gäng. Anyone can read them, change them and save them.
Can I add a friend to a chat I already have?
Yes. Tap "Add a friend" under an answer and a new Gäng opens with you, them, and a copy of that chat. Your own chat stays yours and does not change. To add someone to a Gäng you are already in, use the people list at the top of it.
