Add a friend on Dopppel
Add someone by their email, or send them your invite link. Once you are friends you can start a Gäng, share a chat, or send them a plan to vote on.

What it is
Dopppel is better with people in it, and the Friends page is where you add them. There are two ways. Type someone's email in the box at the top to invite them. Or send them your invite link — the link and its QR code sit right under the box, so you can text it, post it, or hold up your phone.
Email is the only way to look someone up, and that is on purpose. Nobody can type names into Dopppel and find out who is here. You have to already know how to reach a person to add them.
Friends you added in the last week sit in their own box at the top, with a "Say hi" button to start your first chat. After a week they move into the normal list on their own.
How to use it

- 2Type their email in the box at the top to invite them.
- 3Or send them your invite link, or show them the QR code under the box.
- 4Once they are on, tap "Say hi" to start your first chat together.

How do I add a friend?
Type their email in the box at the top of the Friends page, or send them your invite link.
Can I search for someone by name?
No, and that is on purpose. Typing a name only looks through friends you already have. To add anybody new you need their email, so nobody can sit there typing names to see who is on Dopppel.
What is an invite link?
Your own link to share. Anyone who opens it can chat with Dopppel right away, and the two of you become friends when they sign in. Its QR code is right under the box on the Friends page.
What can we do once we are friends?
Start a Gäng together, share a chat with them, or send them a plan to vote on.
