What does a profile show on Dopppel?
Tap a friend's name or photo to open their profile. It only shows what the two of you can already see, and nothing private.
What it is
A profile is a small page about one person. Tap a friend's name or photo on the Friends page or in a Gäng and it opens. It shows their name, their photo, when you became friends, and the Gängs you are both in. Tap a Gäng there to go to it.
It never shows an email, a phone number, anything Dopppel remembers, or anything from a private chat. A friend's profile has "Message" and "Start a Gäng", and at the bottom "Remove friend", "Block" and "Report". Tap someone in a Gäng you are not friends with yet and you get "Add friend", "Block" and "Report" instead.
You have one too. Tap your name or your picture at the bottom of the side menu and pick "Your profile". It shows your friends, your Gängs, and your invite link with a "Copy" button. Tap "Edit profile" to change your name or photo in Settings.
How to use it
- 1Tap a friend's name or photo, on the Friends page or in a Gäng.
- 2Look at the Gängs you are both in, and tap one to open it.
- 3Tap "Message" to chat, or "Start a Gäng" to bring more people in.
- 4To see your own, open the menu under your name and pick "Your profile".
- 5Tap "Edit profile" there to change your name or your photo.
Questions
Can my friends see my email on my profile?
No. A profile shows your name, your photo, when you became friends, and the Gängs you share. Never an email or a phone number.
Does a profile show what Dopppel knows about me?
No. What Dopppel remembers about you stays in your own chats. It is never on a profile, and never in a Gäng.
Can I see the profile of someone who is not my friend?
Yes, if you are in a Gäng together. Tap them in the Gäng. You see the Gängs you share and an "Add friend" button.
How do I change my name or photo?
Open "Your profile" and tap "Edit profile". That opens Settings, where you change your name and your photo.
How do I block someone from their profile?
Tap "Block" at the bottom of their profile. "Report" blocks them too, and sends it to our team to look at. The other person is not told. If you share a Gäng, they will see that one of you left it.
