Can Dopppel write a text or an email for me?
Yes. Ask Dopppel to write a text or an email, and the words show up in their own box, ready for you to send.
What it is
Some messages are hard to start. Saying sorry, asking for a day off, a note to a teacher. Tell Dopppel who it is for and what you want to say, and it writes it for you.
The words land in their own box, apart from the rest of the answer, so you can see exactly what will be sent. An email has its subject line on top. On a phone, "Open in Messages" opens your text app with the words already typed in, and an email has "Open in Email". "Copy" copies the words, and "Edit" lets you change them first — tap "Done" when you are happy.
Dopppel never sends it for you. You are always the one who taps send. This works in a Gäng too, so a group can write one message together.
How to use it
- 1Ask, in plain words: "write a text to my landlord saying the sink is leaking".
- 2Read the words in the box. Ask Dopppel to change them, like "make it shorter".
- 3Or tap "Edit" and change the words yourself, then tap "Done".
- 4Tap "Open in Messages" or "Open in Email" to send it from your own app, or tap "Copy" and paste it anywhere.
Questions
Will Dopppel send the message for me?
No. Dopppel writes it, and you send it. It has no way to send a text or an email by itself.
Why don't I see "Open in Messages" on my computer?
It only shows on a phone or tablet, since most computers cannot send a text. "Copy" and "Open in Email" work on a computer.
Can I change the words before I send them?
Yes. Tap "Edit" and type in the box, then tap "Done". Or just ask Dopppel to change them.
Does it work for emails too?
Yes. An email comes with a subject line, and "Open in Email" opens your email app with it all filled in.
